Study Abroad Advising: Options

Ready to get advised on study abroad?

There are a few options for you. Check out which is best for you and start there!

Group Info Sessions

This is the best option if you're just getting started and you're trying to figure out what your first steps are. We'll review how to use the portal, what the types of programs are, and be there to answer basic questions as you start exploring.

Peer Advising

Peer advising is great throughout your study abroad process. Peer advising is conducted by returned study abroad Hilltoppers. They are able to help with getting started, creating a profile, searching programs, buying your flights, what to pack and more!
Stop by GEO Monday-Friday 11-2 for walk-in peer advising during the regular semesters.

Meeting with a Study Abroad Advisor

Marlena Coco, Sarah Conlon, and Cynthia Darling are the current study abroad advisors in GEO.
First timer? Please attend a group info session before setting a meeting with one of them.

They are able to help and guide you through your entire study abroad process & will be your main point of contact once you begin applying to a program.

Before meeting with an advisor, you should have a study abroad profile on this portal.
